大河内神楽 について

The annual kagura is performed in the hall of worship, while the quarterly shime-no-gane kagura is performed in an outer shrine built on the north side of the hall of worship. Shime-no-gan is a kagura performed in the event of a serious illness, and was performed until around 1960/1960. Currently, the Shime no Gan Kagura is performed once every four years for the sake of kagura preservation.
There are also kagura in Oyabu, Kassenhara and Yatate in the Okawachi area, but the kagura tools, dancers and kagura content are the same as those of Okawachi Kagura. However, there are slight differences in the number of pieces performed, such as the absence of an outer shrine, and the absence of Shimekagura, Tsuna-arajin and Tsunagiri.

Date of festival: 2nd Saturday in December, from the evening until the following morning.
