The origin of Mount Shiiba

The history of Mount Shiiba cannot be discussed without mentioning the 'Shiiba Mountain Origin Record' and the 'Shiiba Mountain Nemoto Record'.
The origin and origin notes, which were written around the 17th century, are said to have been recorded after the Hitoyoshi Sagara Clan took control of Shiiba and interviewed the people of Mount Shiiba about the origin of Shiiba.
It was not until around the 15th century that Shiiba again appeared in historical records (ancient documents), and although no historical facts about Shiiba have been discovered during this period, the Heike legend is still being passed down in this vein.

(Origin of the name Shiiba).
It is recorded that Munehisa Nasu Daihachiro went down to Shiiba and thatched the roof of his temporary camp with vertebrate leaves, hence the name Shiiba.
